"The Uninvited" is a fictional editorial based on the premise, "If you were going to throw a dinner party and could invite 5 people, dead or alive, who would they be?" This editorial documents the events of an "Artists Only" dinner party, where only those who are considered to be accomplished actors, musicians, culinary artists, or visual artists are qualified to receive an invitation. The evening takes a turn for the worst when Adolf Hitler arrives, uninvited, and complains how he never received an invitation to the event.
Throughout the editorial, Hitler is associated with objects and colors that don't seem to belong, such as a broken piece of a dinner plate and the color red. Through intentional arrangements of text and image, objects associated to Hitler are cropped off the edges of the page and minimized compared to the other guests to emphasize his indignity.
